What a wonderful day! Jack Idema is in jail being stomped on because of his own stupidity and of course helped by the stunt that Lynn "The Lying Brain" Thomas and the four bimbo's pulled last month in front of the Afghan Embassy not just insulting the Afghans but all Afghan women and helped slam the door on Jackbo. Thanks Lynn!

We see in Lynnbo's latest posting at COWS BLOG that Lynn continues the distortions with her laughable idiotic analysis of Jackbo's PROVEN fraudulent AQ Tapes while Lynn continues to attack those who helped put Jack in Jail or wrote the truth about her lover boy. So Thomas how about doing something Christian....like tell the entire truth? What? That tongue of yours only good for licking Jackbo's coolie?

So Thomas attacks forgetting all about the FACT that Jackbo has had many opportunities to prove his case in court and every time he sued one of the people Thomas continues to wrongly defame he has not just lost in court but ended up being sanctioned and owing the defendants money. Of course Thomas reports on all that? Well of course not! Every time Jackbo has gotten his ass handed to him Thomas rails against the truth and attacks or threatens the person who was wronged. Just like the threat of calling the FBI. LOL! Calling the FBI ! LOL! Lynn Thomas is going to call the FBI! Ok, here is the jist of the conversation between Thomas and the FBI.

"Hello Agent Smith, my name is Lynn Thomas and I am a blogger who supports Jack Idema. You know Jack Idema that hero of Afghanistan you helped set-up, beat and are illegally holding in prison! This would be a hoot! I am sure that the FBI would immediately send Agents to Lynnbo's trailer park and take her report and start a manhunt! LOL!

Thomas just plainly for what ever demented reason refuses to acknowledge the truth and this includes emails and statements from Jackbo's old Commanding Officer and Green Beret Billy Waugh. But note that Thomas only attacks a selected group of people. You have to ask why? Why not bring to light that Jackbo's old Commanding Officer wrote personally to Thomas and Thomas even refused to answer or post his email. Also note that Thomas has not even mentioned the fact that Billy Waugh slammed the door on Jackbo's private prison. She forgets that 98% of Jackbo's claims have been exposed as BULLSHIT! His military record, how and why he entered Afghanistan, and even the FRAUD Jackbo committed playing US Military covert terrorist hunter killer. But none of this sinks into Thomas lying brain. Yes she is a very sick and demented woman.

But why? Its simple why do women write and want to marry axe murders? Women like Lynn Thomas are like those who marry prisoners that they met through the mail or through the media while the guy was already in jail. They tend to be shy (note we at Stupor Patriots outed Cao as Lynn Thomas) have low self-esteem, consider themselves to be outsiders, have been victims of abuse, and they hunger for an emotional relationship. They Identification with aggressive personality, rescue fantasies, acts of compassion, they show sympathy for a political cause or for an outcast, the way to be the center of attention and in the limelight, it fills need to be needed and to feel important, a desire for danger or thrills, out of a sense of rebellion and it fills a void caused by failure of, disappointment in, or lack of romantic relationships. This is the same personality disorder that Lynn "The Lying Brain" Thomas suffers from while this is Jack Idema's MO...using women who have low self-esteem. BTW Jackbo where has your WIFE been? Fighting soldiers, tender brothers

'Green Berets' author and icon Robin Moore reunites with his comrades at Fort Campbell

The $10,000 bottle of scotch explains why globe-trotting author Robin Moore of "Green Berets" and "French Connection" fame has settled in Hopkinsville, Ky. "This is home," says th 80-year-old author who purchased the bottle of Chivas Regal at an auction to fund a Green Beret "safe house."

Tucked into the corn country nudged against Campbell Army Airfield's perimeter, the safe house is actually a semi-secret clubhouse where Green Berets seek fellowship.

Moore's bid on that bottle of scotch he outbid the previous high offer by $9,500 helped his beloved brothers in arms, the subjects of his most-acclaimed book, "The Green Berets," buy this worn farmhouse.

"We're the only ones who understand what we do," says Steve Stone, referring to "The Brotherhood" of Green Berets, whether fresh from Iraq or weathered by Vietnam, who converge here. He nods to Moore. "And that's our icon sitting right there."

Men who've lived with death ricocheting around them know nothing is forever . . Except that bottle of scotch.

"This bottle is our version of Kennedy's eternal flame," says Stone, reaching into a closet to retrieve the expensive hooch. "We always keep it full for Mr. Moore and his friends."

Moore didn't just popularize the term "Green Berets" in his book about the Special Forces in Vietnam; he earned lifetime membership in The Brotherhood. "There's no such thing as an ex-Green Beret," explains Stone. You are a Green Beret, and then you're dead, whether of battle wounds or of old age.

Thanks to his Harvard classmate and pal Robert F. Kennedy and RFK's big brother Moore talks of "Jack,"(NOT YOU JACKBO BUT JACK KENNEDY) as if he's in the room the author is the only civilian to go through training andserve in combat as a Green Beret. The 36-year-old Sheraton Hotels heir simply wanted towrite a book. Instead, he chronicled history, fueled a myth. Most of all, he became The Brotherhood's literary sibling.

When illness began to slow him, with Parkinson's creeping in and throat cancer the undiagnosed, he and wife Helen moved to Hopkinsville, the retirement home of many members of the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), the Green Berets stationed at nearby Fort Campbell.

"This is where we wanted to live," Moore says, voice softened by the radiation and chemo for the cancer he prays has been licked. "My friends are here. I was with the 5th Group in Vietnam, and I knew more people here than anywhere else."

Their home in the Great Oaks subdivision suits this Green Beret author. There's a pool and a garden. Black Hawks regularly chop the air overhead, and during training there's a soundtrack of artillery fire.

The library is crammed with Moore's books and resource materials for his writing. He is working on his memoirs (WITHOUT JACKBOs HELP THANK GOD!) and a book about reincarnation. His daily writing regimen takes him to the computer by 7:30 a.m. Some days "my fingers don't work so well" because of the Parkinson's, so he dictates. He spends the afternoon reviewing the morning's work beforestopping at 5:30 p.m. for a taste of Johnny Walker Black.

A comfy existence for sure. But comfort could be found in the property the author still owns in Jamaica, where the couple first met a half-century ago, and in a cottage in Yorkshire, England.

Next-door neighbor Robert Hall illustrates why the Moores chose this as their destination. "I come over to mow their lawn," says this retired Green Beret who also claims friendship with Ross Perot. "Helen likes to let the grass grow long. She doesn't know copperheads like long grass."

Hall's not just watching out for beloved neighbors, he's protecting the icon of The Brotherhood.

Steve Stone, a retired major who is secretary of Chapter 38 of the Special Forces Association and "keeper" of its clubhouse, says "The Green Berets" book and its movie version starring John Wayne are almost biblical. "The movie's one of about three movies that didn't show us as crazy killers."

"I just was telling the story of these men and what they did," Moore says, saying the book, its subsequent daily comic strip and the movie were misunderstood by "the peaceniks." When he wrote the book, "I wasn't pro-Green Beret or anti-Green Beret." He was a writer walking in the boots of men he now forever regards as heroes.

That love is mutual. "The fellows are always dropping in to visit with Robin," says Helen, 20 years her husband's junior. "And if I need to be gone for a while, one of them comes to stay with him." Al Morace displays that devotion during lunch at a local family restaurant. The retired Green Beret sergeant major served in Vietnam when Moore was there. "He didn't know me. We weren't on the same team. But we all knew about Robin and what he was doing," Morace says.

Morace keeps a steady eye on Moore to make sure he can eat his half-slab of ribs despite Parkinson's palsy. Subtly helping his "big brother" with knife and napkin, Morace insures that Moore's dignity is preserved despite the messy ribs.

The author is a frequent and much-sought guest at Fort Campbell ceremonies. "I fall down sometimes," says Moore, who supports himself with a cane. His collection of walking canes, by the way, includes one that holds a tube for scotch.

"When I was in Afghanistan, I had one like this. Me and some of the fellows sat down and shared it," Moore says with a twinkle in his piercing blue eyes.

That cane burst someplace in Taliban country, but a duplicate has been found. And the hidden tube does indeed contain dark amber liquid.

It's not what's in the cane that makes Moore stumble. Rather, it's the reason he uses the cane at all, the Parkinson's, that steals mobility and stability. When he does tumble at functions, the Green Beret at his side for he's always escorted by brothers grabs Moore's elbows and they continue walking, without missing precise military stride. It's a gentle gesture among hard men.

Helen Moore explains the relationship simply: "One of the things that is special about Robin's Green Beret brothers is that they treat Robin as a person. They don't ask for anything in return.

"They aren't asking for help getting a book published. They aren't asking for money. "For us, it's so nice to be around a group of people like these. They have this wonderful respect and love and consideration for Robin.

"When Robin was sick (his throat cancer was diagnosed and treated not long after he and Helen moved here a year ago), the help and support we got from these men was incredible."

The Moores reciprocate the love by helping with the safe house. "We donate bits from time to time and I have my odd coin jar. As it fills up, we donate that," Helen says. At least once a week "we go out there and have a bit of fun with the guys."

Books by Moore jam the safe house's bookshelf. There's also a photo of the Duke from the filming of "The Green Berets" on the wall. Other decorations include a "Wanted Dead or Alive" poster for Osama bin Laden and the mounted head of a cape buffalo. Green Berets, who have served in places such as Somalia, call the African beast "the deadliest animal alive."

Dead, the buffalo wears the beret of Joe Cyr, a clubhouse regular who died of cancer. cigarette dangles from the animal's mouth.

Stone also points to a cross made of charred metal. It's sacred and it came from someplace secret "up north," he hints. It also traveled back and forth to Afghanistan. Perhaps it's made of a piece of the Twin Towers? Stone will say no more.

The history of Moore's relationship with these troops also fills the author's home, 20 minutes from this outpost.

Moore points to photos of himself in Vietnam, where he was exposed to the brutality of war. "We were with the Montagnards (the hill tribesmen who fought alongside U.S. forces). We were fighting Viet Cong. I had to shoot a guy. If I hadn't, someone else would have. Then I was told, 'If you don't cut the right ear off, they'll think you're a (wimp).' '' The Montagnards collected bounty for each ear collected.

There's also a copy of "The Ballad of the Green Berets," the song Moore wrote with the late Barry Sadler, a member of The Brotherhood who sang that hit recording.

"I'm in great company, Robin," writes "The Duke, John Wayne," on a photo taken during the 1967 filming of the movie.

"I really liked Duke," says the author, who spent many nights nursing the script and whiskey with Wayne on the set at Fort Benning, GA. "We rode motorcycles together, and one time I crashed. Duke pulls up and I tell him I broke my collarbone. He picks me up off the ground and says 'You're all right, Robin.' The writer laughs, still softly, because of his cancer. "Duke was a good guy. He said to me atthe time, 'Robin, I'm trying to lick cancer.' I said, 'I hope you do.' ''

Wayne won that battle with cancer, though he was felled a dozen years later by the disease.

"Now, all these years later, I'm licking cancer," Moore says. "I'm an eternal optimist. And I think about Duke. If he beat cancer, I can, too."

A painting in the living room shows The Blue Lagoon in Jamaica, where the author lived in the 1950s and where he and sidekick Errol Flynn swashbuckled through the female populace.

"Robin was something of the town stud," according to Helen, who first met him down there. She was a schoolgirl of 15, perhaps younger, and her family nixed any relationship between her and the twice-divorced writer or with his drinking buddy.

Helen's family moved away, putting the kibosh on that relationship for a half-century or so. By the time Helen and Moore reconnected for good, he was in his late 70s and had been married four times. She also had enjoyed a full family life in England and South Africa. After 50 years, the two finally were both single and past the age of consent. "We've been together ever since" they met up again in 2002, she says.

They were married at a 2005 Green Beret convention in Nashville. Morace, in blue jeans and Green Beret, held a shotgun to the author's back as he marched them down the aisle at the Music City Sheraton.

"It was truly wonderful," says the bride. Soon after the nuptials, they began Hopkinsville house-shopping to be near members of The Brotherhood.

At the safe house, where Moore sits on this day nursing a glass of club soda on the rocks, he is regarded as oracle, ailing older brother and national treasure.

"He's a bit of history," offers Wendell Greene, a retired Sergeant First Class. "I read the book when I was a rare young man. And I said, 'I'm going to be a Green Beret.' "

The author smiles, says he's going to live the rest of his days in the embrace of these men.

Then he whispers, "Now I'd like some of that $10,000 scotch.'' The Green Berets scramble to pour him about $500 worth".

"Stone looks through the smoke of his cigarette and warns: "We love this man. If ever we caught anybody taking advantage of Robin, he'd be well, we'd circle the wagons around Robin." A half-dozen of his fellows nod. Some cross their forearms."

Well it turns out that your old commander spent an entire career in the Army, retired from active duty and still works in the National Military Command Center in the Pentagon. You and COW couldn’t be much further off track that that could you? Better check your F-6 sources out there Jackbo. Your old commander apparently told COW the whole story about you being a lousy soldier was TRUE. How come old COW doesn’t post that on her blog site? She wouldn’t be holding back pertinent, verified, first-hand information from her readers that blows all of your BS stories about your SF days out of the water, would she? How come we were able to obtain a copy of the info from our sources and yet COW hasn’t found the time to let the world know the truth about her favorite “super patriot.” She puts every other scrap of BS on her site. Why not some truth, however unpleasant, from time to time? How about it COW?

So, your old commander writes COW and gives her a real earful. It turns out we were able to obtain a copy of his e-mail from our sources out there in the retired SF world. Boy did he give COW an earful. Wow, if I were you, I would want to keep that kind of stuff buried as well. This isn’t just a skeleton in the closet. It’s an entire graveyard full of skeletons!

All this old info just doesn’t help that totally bogus image you are trying to portray of being a super SF operator when you were in fact a chronic disciplinary problem, thrown off of A-teams twice and finally sent to serve out your enlistment time in a rear echelon job in the group signal company. Some rep you racked up there, Jackbo. Nice going! If you had just had some more time on active duty, you might have been able to make it all the way from Fort Devens to the military prison at the Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary during your illustrious one-and-only tour on active duty. But no mind Jackbo, you eventually made to federal prison all on your own, once you were out of the Army of course and you even did it without the help of your former 10^th Group colleagues. Bravo!

Our recent posting of your old commander’s email to COW really started the ball rolling. We are getting all kinds of emails. What a bunch of stories we are getting! We got the story about you in the barracks (really now Jackbo, knife fighting with your unarmed roommate – Is that any way to behave, especially when your he takes your knife away and beats you up?). We have some stories from your old teammates about your sub-standard performance on training exercises. We have heard from a couple of sources on the real story about how you lucked into a SCUBA School slot (not selected – just pure luck). We also have the story about how you were cashiered from attending the German Mountain School, so we also know that you lied about attending schools that you never even got close to, or better yet, some that never even existed!

It seems that there was no love lost between you and almost everybody else in the entire 10^th Special Forces Group. We are checking out the stories just as fast as we can. Frankly Jackbo, this might take a while. But as soon as we can, we will be posting more about your early days in Special Forces. Just sit tight there in your cell. (Is it padded? I hope so because you might just end up banging your head on the walls when you read some of the stuff we have recently received).

Just so you know, we are definitely keeping good records of all the info that we get. All this is an absolute must to include in a movie about you once you finally get your sorry ass out of that Afghan jail. We even have an idea for a title for your movie, “Little Big Man 2”. Maybe it would be better if the title was “Little Little Man.” One of the guys suggested “Jackbo the Dodo” but that probably would not be a good idea. Someone might think it was a family film about a big dumb bird instead of a film about a foul-mouthed big, dumb, soldier wannabe. Would you want Dustin Hoffman to play the lead role? Or would you rather play the lead role yourself? Just think Jackbo, all that time in front of a camera, being able to stage things just the way you imagined them, but of course not the way they really were. Just like your stories from Afghanistan.

Yes Junior Cape Crusaders today we want to do a little detective work and analyze one of COW’s recent picture posts. Yes, somehow COW came up with a “NEVER BEFORE SEEN OR PUBLISHED” picture of a young Keith Idema. (Anyone care to guess who provided her a copy of the photo?) Along with the photo, our wacko Lynnbo published her usual insightful analysis and commentary, and, as usual, it is pure trash and 98% wrong. We will take today’s post to go through her comments and add our own sumplementary commentary.

Cao’s Commentary:

“Oh look again, Uncle Jimbo, this is another genuine picture of the real deal, a very young Jack Idema, in his uniform (courtesy of the JFK Special Warfare Center & School). It is a picture that no one has ever seen or published, and one that Idema has never released. But I think we can all agree, it really is him.”

SP Counter-Commentary:

Oh look again, Mama COW, this sure looks like some civilian photo studio glamour shot of a very young Keith Idema, all puffed up and posing for the camera for an “I Love Me” photo (he went by “Keith” back in those days but that just wasn’t “sexy” or “bad” enough if you are trying to bluff your way through the world and don’t have any real soldiering credentials, hence the later name change to “Jack.”) Hey, Jack you didn’t get anything else changed at the same time you changed your name? No little trips to Sweden for some , uh, shall we say, unmentionable surgical procedures? That might explain why some of your former colleagues call you, well, a “p****”? ). This picture is not really from JFK Center files, but what the hell, nothing else that Idema says is truthful, why not lie your ass off on this too. “No one as ever seen this picture”, unless of course, you go to Jack’s “I Love Me Wall” where it probably hangs prominently displayed for the whole world to see. Yes COW, your ARE right about one thing. We can all sadly agree this is JFK* Idema (Jonathan “Fraud” Keith Idema).

So, all the “experts” out there don’t get their knickers in a twist over Idema’s missing black and white name badge, during those years 10th SFG(A) operated against the Soviets, and those on teams with real world USSR missions did not wear nametags on their dress green uniform.

SP Counter-Commentary:

For all you experts out there, you can probably smell a BS story as well as anyone, according to “Keith’s” commanding officer in 10^th SFG from the period when this photo was taken, 10^th Group personnel wore their nametags on their dress greens. Period. It is more likely Jackbo had this photo taken when he was home on leave and forgot to bring his nametag along with him. But, what the hell, a sexy BS story about “real world missions against the USSR “ sounds so much better than, “Hey, I forgot my nametag.” Maybe he lost his nametag when he was down on Red Square, breaking into the Kremlin, on a super secret “real world” USSR mission – probably trying to steal a road map so he could find his way to the super secret non-existent “boomer” sub base at Vladivostok for his next super secret mission. How’s that for BS?!

Cao’s Comentary Continued:

Let’s see, this one was taken around 1977, when you were what, about 10 years old? Back then, the Army Special Forces uniforms were slightly different also. There was no Special Forces “Tab” for graduating, you were awarded your Green Beret after Phase I (Selection) and your “full Flash” after you graduated fully qualified. The Special Forces Tab wouldn’t even be invented for another ten years, right before your time, but it seems to be “missing” off Uncle Jimbo’s Philippines and Paintball pictures.

SP Counter-Commentary:

Aside from the personal attack on “Uncle Jimbo,”, I do believe that Jackbo and COW actually did get something right for once. The SF tab would not be authorized until much later and the full flash was awarded after completion of Phase III for the enlisted course. On the officer’s side of things, beret and flash were awarded upon completion of SFOC. There was no interim awarding of the beret as SFOC was not broken down into phases like the enlisted course. But you wouldn’t know that Jackbo, because, despite your claims that you were a Special Officer OFFICER, you were never even close to earning a commission. Even Army bureaucracy isn’t THAT stupid.

Cao’s Comentary Continued:

What else can we notice? Jack Idema is wearing a green Full Flash designating 10th Special Forces Group (ABN),

SP Counter-Commentary:

Wow COW! What a keen eye for detail you have there! Idema IS wearing a full flash. What that means in Idema’s case is something different than for others who went through SF school and wear the flash. For Idema it means that, after failing 05B Phase II course twice, and having a rich Daddy get his congressman involved, and having pressure brought to bear on the Army, ol’ Jackbo was recycled for what was probably an unheard of third try to get through the SF school, but this third time he was placed in the easier 11B specialty (light weapons) track. Wow, Jackbo, glad you made it! I don’t think even your Daddy or your congressman could have gotten you a fourth pass at the SF course. We heard they graduated you just to get you out of their hair. Too bad for the guys up at Fort Devens. They probably thought they were getting a SF Weapons Sergeant. What they got sure sounds like someone else’s bag of dirty laundry being passed along.

Cao’s Comentary Continued:

[H]e has an expert marksman badge, with little placards hanging off it, which are probably for either Expert rifle, pistol, and grenade, or Expert rifle, pistol, and machinegun.

SP Counter-Commentary:

Holy COW! Lady, can’t you get anything right? The correct term for the expert marksmanship badge suspended bars is not “placards” but “clasps.” Any moron can go on line and look up AR 670-1 and get the correct terminology. What are the clasps? We can’t see. Grenade? Not likely. Jackbo might have blown himself up with a real grenade. One thing is for sure. The clasps can’t include “Bayonet.” Jackbo has already showed us his “expert” knife fighting skills with his barracks “Hwa Rang Dodo” episode. (Score: Roommate -1 / Jackbo – 0) Hey, maybe one of the clasps says “potato peeler” on it. Why don’t you ask him, COW? Oh yes, just about every soldier in the entire US Army ends up with one of these little pretty marksmanship badges. They really don’t mean Jack Shit (Sorry Jackbo, you don’t mean Jack Shit either).

He has a Parachute badge, and a SCUBA badge, which means he graduated what is arguably the world’s most difficult special operations school– note I said the WORLD’s most difficult school.

SP Counter-Commentary:

As for Jackbo’s SCUBA badge? Correct there Lynnbo – but look for future postings on how little Jackbo lucked into a SCUBA slot – he sure didn’t earn it from what we hear. As for the SCUBA course being the “WORLD’S most difficult school.” Hey, Lynnbo, I thought you said Jack’s Hwa Rang Dodo course was the toughest school in the world? You have simply got to make up your mind! Granted, SCUBA school was physically demanding, no argument there, but “WORLD’S most difficult.” That just might be stretching things a bit COW. “The Special Forces Underwater Operations Combat Diver Course. This is one of the tougher schools the Army has to offer. If you make it through the OL-H, it is not too difficult physically...but you still have to learn dive tables, physiology, tides, waves, and currents, CPR, submarine lock-in/out, etc. “

Hey Lynnbo, maybe we should check and see if it took Jackbo more than one pass to get through SCUBA school. Jackbo, who was your SCUBA buddy? We would like to get in touch with him. He might have some stories we can post. Did your congressman go through the course with you on this one or did you make it through on your own this time?

As for Jackbo’s parachute badge? Yes, Jackbo completed the Basic Airborne Course at Fort Benning. Right along with many tens and tens of thousands of others before him. No big deal there Lynnbo. Or perhaps you want to tell us that Basic Airborne Course is the “WORLD’S most difficult course?”

You know, the school you failed and flunked out of Uncle Jimbo. Did you even get the first day of class in the school Idema graduated from with honors, then returned to teach, and eventually became a Master Diver, then a Master Instructor, and then a Master Instructor Trainer?

Who ever said Idema graduated with honor’s from the Basic Special Forces Underwater Operations Course? In fact Jackbo’s former commander says there are rumors that he washed out (he also says he doesn’t think they are true). We will get busy trying to see what the truth is on that. As for Master Diver? Lynnbo.. Army Master Diver IS NOT an SF course and SF guys don’t go to that school. In any case, Jackbo was thrown out of the Army in 1978 and didn’t attend any further diving schooling before that happy day in Army history. To quote Jackbo’s former commander “Bottom line -- No Idema on a SCUBA team -- no secret spook SCUBA missions. Just made up stories.”

Look COW, this is the Army Master Diver Badge from the official web page.

Army Master Diver Course (CIN A-433-0064) is the pinnacle of Army dive training. Successful completion of this 20-day course results in the award of the Master Diver Badge. The course includes classroom testing and training and a rigorous 3-day performance evaluation.

Note Lynnbo, that your hero IS NOT wearing a master diver’s badge. Never has. Never will (legitimately at least). Not even his later pictures in Afghanistan which show him wearing every bell and whistle he can possibly justify (and it looks like one or two he isn’t entitled to wear) is he wearing a Master Diver Badge? As for Master Instructor and then Master Instructor Trainer? Are those titles from Jackbo’s defunct and bogus two-bit counter terrorism school? It certainly doesn’t seem to be anything to do with Special Forces. But I’ll bet that Jackbo can come up with another certificate or two if we ask him.

Cao’s Comentary Continued:

According to a real Master Sergeant in the US Army Special Forces, Idema’s team had one of the most classified missions– the Soviet SSBN “Boomer” base in Vladivostok. Have you ever even seen a Closed Circuit Rebreather system for infiltrating into an enemy coastline, like the one a 20-year-old Idema is wearing here? Or locked out of a Submarine? Because according to real SF sources, like the real SF Master Sergeant pictured down below, Idema is has actually done sub lockouts (USS SEAWOLF as in the SSN-575 Seawolf, not the Seawolf class of sub), not just daydreamed about it.

SP Counter-Commentary:

We simply can’t put it any better than Jack’s former CO, the commander of ODA 324 who included this in his August 23 e-mail to you, COW:

“I don't know where you got the make-believe story about the mission against the "boomer base" in Vladivostok. If you knew anything at all, you would know that the Soviet (and now Russian) Pacific sub base for their missile subs is at Petropavlovsk. Vladivostok WAS and still IS a big Russian SURFACE navy base, but it is not a submarine "boomer" base. Bad news for the fantasy warriors. They really should do their homework before they start making up bogus war stories.

ODA 324 (the first team to which Idema was assigned) NEVER had a mission to operate in Russia and certainly not on the Russian Pacific coast. I guess as the CO of the detachment I would know what the wartime mission was and what country it was in. You are not even close. I don't know who your "real SF Master Sergeant" source is, but I hope you aren't paying real money for these ficticious stories. Perhaps the Vladivostok mission was so "super classified" they overlooked telling the unit commander, the team sergeant, or any other person on the team -- other than Idema of course.”

Lynnbo, it isn’t hard to guess that the source of this fairy tale from your “real Master Sergeant in US Army Special Forces” is Idema’s equally self-delusional buddy, Thomas Bumback. Like Jack, he apparently just doesn’t know crap from crisco. So Lynnbo, why don’t you post Colonel Carlson’s info on your bog site? Too much truth there for you? Or has Idema told you not to say anything that further exposes just what a fraud he is?

Oh yes, one last thing that you overlooked in your brilliant analysis of Jackbo’s glamour ego photo. Just look COW, Jackbo is wearing ALL of his awards and commendations. Let’s look real close. There is the Army Good Conduct ribbon (boy someone was asleep at the switch when they handed out that one.) Actually, GCRs were automatically processed by the unit personnel section unless otherwise told not to do so. That means, this photo must have been taken before Jackbo got his Article 15 (Non-judicial punishment) and rehab transfer from being thrown off ODA 324 in the spring of 1976. He also proudly wears the National Defense Service Ribbon, you know, the ribbon given to every single servicemember that finished basic training in the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. What a small elite group that is! Oh, Jackbo. You are a true hero!

He also wears . . . . oops. That is all the personal awards he has! No combat awards. No meritorious service awards. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Zero. Just two ribbons handed out pro forma like candy on Halloween night to every enlisted man in the Army. What a hero your Jack is. Lynnbo, I’ll bet your heart just goes pitty-pat when you think about our heroic Jack . Forget the real heroes in the world Lynnbo. Jackbo is the “real deal” for sure.

One last bit of very advanced detective work and photo analysis here. Over Jackbo’s right breast pocket, he wears the unit citations for 10^th Special Forces Group. Jackbo is right at home with this. You see, he gets to wear the unit citations for the unit which were earned at times and places when Jackbo wasn’t actually with the unit. This may be where Jackbo first got the idea of taking credit for the heroic deeds of other’s, just like he has been doing ever since this photo was taken some 30 years ago. The difference is, in this photo he can actually wear the 10^th Group unit citations while assigned to 10^th Group and it is fully in accordance with Army regulations. As for taking credit for the heroic deeds of others since he was thrown out of the Army in 1978? Well that’s more than not being in accordance with regulations. It’s just plain pathetic and despicable.

Jackbo, you stink! And oh yes, COW, you stink too.

You know, down there with a lot of non-SF-qualified signal types, after you were thrown off of A-teams in both A Company and B Company.) Hey! Stop the presses!! Isn’t that some sort of record that you should post on your brag page on Super Patriots? Thrown off of two A-Teams in less than one year? Don’t you have some sort of “Jackbo Special Forces A-Team Dismissal” certificate that your Daddy can post on your “I Love Me” wall back home in New York?.

Now, it is reported that you claim to be a former NYPD officer. Real NYPD officers died on 9/11 – you are not worthy to claim to be in their ranks. Why, I’ll even bet that you will have your minion Cow posting some “new, never before published” picture of you in an NYPD uniform on her web site by the end of next week. Maybe another studio photo like your “SF glamour pose” (did you win any SF beauty contests with that photo Jackbo?). You are like a sick little puppy dog who runs up to pee on every fire hydrant he comes across. Except with you, its heroes and not fire hydrants that you are running up to be next to. Everytime you hear of some new group of heroes, you run to have your picture taken with them in some staged photo-op so you can claim to have been part of someone else’s heroic deeds. Just look at all of the records that he has set – and attendance at schools that he never even attended (What? No climbing records at the German Mountain School that you never went to, Jackbo? No skiing records for a NATO Ski School that doesn’t even exist? You are simply way too modest. Be creative. You claim to have set records for Camp Perry Pistol Matches – but you were never there Jackbo. Never mind. Details, details. Cow will cover all that up for you, because, after all, she has a brain and you are a REAL OPERATOR (a REAL BASE STATION RADIO OPERATOR – well, come to think of it, maybe not even really that if you flunked 05B Phase II twice – we will have to go ask the personnel types for a ruling on that one). Poor Jackbo. He is SO confused!

What we really want to know is about your prowess as a Hwa Rang Do (Dodo) Special Forces Hand-to-Hand Combat Instructor. From what we hear, this was a two-week course where you got parked between Phase II recycles. (Was it after the first recycle or the second? Come on Jackbo. You can tell us. We won’t share it with anyone but a few million people who read this site. Real confidential, hush-hush, spec ops type of stuff you know).

Now, we are no martial arts expert, but we thought it took years to become an expert in any of the belted martial arts. Yet you, Jackbo, did it all in two weeks? FANTASTIC. Can you share your secret with us? It could save hundreds, perhaps thousands of American soldiers’ lives. Anyone with two weeks time, six boxtops from his favorite breakfast cereal, and Jack’s Secret Instant Martial Arts Formula can become a world class martial arts instructor – all in just a couple of weeks! We wanted to look at your “Hwa Rang Do Instructor Diploma on your web site Jack, but its so fuzzy that we really can’t make out anything, except for the part that says “participated in.” Does that mean you DID NOT GRADUATE??? But, back to your radio show. We want you to tell us all about what you learned from all of this Hwa Rang Dodo Instructor–level training. You know, all the stuff you and the other 10 guys that EVER GRADUATED from (or maybe just participated in) learned from this super-secret school.

Jackbo, we have been talking with some of your old buds from back at Fort Devens. You know, the place where you spent that last two years of your one and only enlistment in the active Army, getting bounced from A-Team to A-Team, and then sent off to some ash and trash job and finally leaving the Army with a bar to reenlistment. . (Poor Jackbo – didn’t you play nice with the other children? I guess not.) We have tracked down some of the guys from the 10^th SFG barracks. Let’s just call them “G’ and “J” and “S” and “T” and a couple of others. (Think Idema, think! Who might these guys be?? None of your friends – you apparently didn’t have many friends except maybe for the Coleflesh brothers). It turns out that the story we heard about you pulling a knife on one of your team mates in the barracks is true! Those barracks rats sure did love to watch a good fight. A couple of them remember it very well. It turns out that after you pulled out your big, bad knife, your roommate, totally unarmed, actually TOOK YOUR KNIFE AWAY FROM YOU. Now, how could that happen to a big, bad Hwa Rang Dodo Instructor – one of only 11 who EVER GRADUATED from (or maybe just participated in) the super Hwa Rang Dodo Hand-to-Hand Combat Instructor Special Weapons and Tactics Course?

Jackbo, from what we hear, not only did this unarmed man take your knife away from you, he then proceeded to beat the ever-living crap out of you. NO WAY!!! SAY IT AIN’T SO! Not big, bad Jackbo the Dodo!!!

And then, we are told, you tried to hide the beating in formation the next day by wearing sunglasses (were they Foster Grants?). Did the Team Sergeant make you take the sunglasses off? How humiliating, for a big bad Hwa Rang Dodo Instructor, only one of 11 who ever GRADUATED from (or participated in) this special training to have to show off his bruises to the whole unit. No wonder there were no more Hwa Rang Dodo classes of this type. Jackbo, you were simply WAY TOO DANGEROUS to be turned loose in public – mostly too dangerous to yourself it seems.

Was it that two weeks in the class just wasn’t enough time to FULLY master Hwa Rang Do, Jackbo? Or did you not send in all six boxtops you were supposed to? Did you try to shortchange someone and send in only FOUR BOXTOPS so they didn’t teach you all of the secrets? Did you warn your roommate that you were a lethal killer before he beat you up or afterwards? Did you show him your Hwa Rang Dodo “certificate of participation” Jackbo? Did he know you were an “Instructor”, Jackbo, or was he just such a poor student that he skipped all the introductory lessons and skipped to the part where he beat the crap out of the “master.” Oh it is such a cruel world out there Jackbo.

Maybe you just let him beat you up a little bit for the amusement of all your buds in the barracks? Why didn’t you go tell your superiors Idema? Wouldn’t they care? Couldn’t Daddy come bail you out off this predicament like he did down at Fort Bragg? What? No congressman to intervene on your behalf?

We will be looking to hear all about this on your next radio broadcast Jackbo. Until then, here is some free advice. Don’t pull any more knives on anybody!!! Not even the maid!!!! Just like your roommate at Fort Devens, your buddy, Brent, MIGHT NOT be a Hwa Rang Dodo instructor and as bumbling and inept as you. That could make him far more dangerous than you and he just might beat you up in your cell before the guards can get in and pull him off of you. Old Brent could turn out to be a real tiger!. You know, just one final thought. After tracking down this story, (it took some effort Jackbo) I am inclined to think we should not refer to you as “Jackbo” anymore. Let's also correct the record on Haiti. It was reported to us from folk who were there that Jack was never, ever part of any Special Forces operations in Haiti. Matter of fact Jackbo served on 324 from October 1976 until the spring of 1977, say April of that year long before any Haiti Operation. At that time the team was training for German Mountain School but good old Jackbo could not stop that blabbering mouth of his and got pulled from going to that school. Meaning Jack Idema never went to any German Mountain School as a SF'er. Jackbo also claims to have gone to a NATO Ski School! ....eh... Jackbo... there is one slight problem with this claim........... There is no such animal!

Jackbo makes claim of his expert shooting abilities. What his teams mates have told us is that while Jackbo was a decent shot he was never competition caliber. Gee Jackbo we find it funny that you forget to mention that you nearly got your entire team disqualified because of your blow-ups and insubordination! Hell Jackbo you were so popular that your ENTIRE team voted to have you thrown off! And in 1978 you were barred from reenlistment from the U.S. Army.... In your short lived time with Special Forces you never saw "COMBAT"! Never! PERIOD! End of the proud service of the Super Patriot! Maybe someone should call H. John Idema and tell him that the vanity wall he has in his house is nothing more than a sham!

real deal, a very young Jack Idema, in his uniform (courtesy of the JFK
Special Warfare Center & School). It is a picture that no one has ever
seen or published, and one that Idema has never released. But I think we
can all agree, it really is him.

So, all the "experts" out there don't get their knickers in a twist
over Idema's missing black and white name badge, during those years 10th
SFG(A) operated against the Soviets, and those on teams with real world
USSR missions did not wear nametags on their dress green uniform. Let's
see, this one was taken around 1977, when you were what, about 10 years
old? Back then, the Army Special Forces uniforms were slightly
different also. There was no Special Forces "Tab" for graduating, you were
awarded your Green Beret after Phase I (Selection) and your "full Flash"
after you graduated fully qualified. The Special Forces Tab wouldn't even
be invented for another ten years, right before your time, but it seems
to be "missing" off Uncle Jimbo's Philippines and Paintball pictures.

What else can we notice? Jack Idema is wearing a green Full Flash
designating 10th Special Forces Group (ABN), he has an expert marksman
badge, with little placards hanging off it, which are probably for either
Expert rifle, pistol, and grenade, or Expert rifle, pistol, and
machinegun. He has a Parachute badge, and a SCUBA badge, which means he
graduated what is arguably the world's most difficult special operations
school- note I said the WORLD's most difficult school. You know, the school
you failed and flunked out of Uncle Jimbo. Did you even get the first
day of class in the school Idema graduated from with honors, then
returned to teach, and eventually became a Master Diver, then a Master
Instructor, and then a Master Instructor Trainer?

According to a real Master Sergeant in the US Army Special Forces,
Idema's team had one of the most classified missions- the Soviet SSBN
"Boomer" base in Vladivostok. Have you ever even seen a Closed Circuit
Rebreather system for infiltrating into an enemy coastline, like the one a
20-year-old Idema is wearing here? Or locked out of a Submarine? Because

(Remember -- Idema says he was on the "Mountain Team" - except there was no
formal "Mountain Team" like there was a HALO and SCUBA team.  There was
only one SCUBA team in each of the two battalions.  The team sergeant
of the 3rd Battalion SCUBA team was MSG John Larsen for the entire time
that Idema was at Fort Devens.  He currently lives in Spanaway, WA and
he IS the real deal. Look him up -- check it out.  Give him a call.
Just ask yourself, just where was Idema when he did all this alleged
super SCUBA stuff?  At the basic-level SCUBA course?  Where could he have
possibly found the time to become a master diver?  Where did he gain all
of this experience?  I would like to know.  Or is this some civilian or
otherwise self-awarded title that has nothing to do with Special
Forces?

Bottom line -- No Idema on a SCUBA team --  no secret spook SCUBA
missions.  Just made up stories.

Three -- I don't know know where you got the make-believe story about
the mission against the "boomer base" in Vladivostok.  äÏ×ÅÒØÔÅ ÍÎÅ - ñ
ÚÎÁÀ Ï Þ£Í Ñ ÇÏ×ÏÒÀ. (get that translated).   If you knew anything at
all, you would know that the Soviet (and now Russian) Pacific sub base
for their missile subs is at Petropavlovsk.  Vladivostok WAS and still
IS a big Russian SURFACE navy base, but it is not a submarine "boomer"
base.  Bad news for the fantasy warriors.  They really should do their
homework before they start making up bogus war stories.

Four -- ODA 324 (the first team to which Idema was assigned) NEVER had
a mission to operate in Russia and certainly not on the Russian Pacific
coast.  I guess as the CO of the detachment I would know what the
wartime mission was and what country it was in.  You are not even close.  I
don't know who your "real SF Master Sergeant" source is, but I hope you
aren't paying real money for these ficticious stories. Perhaps the
Vladivostok mission was so "super classified" they overlooked telling the
unit commander, the team sergeant, or any other person on the team --
other than Idema of course.

Why don't you do your homework?  Let me he;p you out a little.

just to get through training group (he failed 05B training twice and was
then recycled into 11B training - the easiest of the MOS skills to
pass)  (sorry, no honor graduate -- -- -- note, even his SF School Diploma
only says "Graduate", not "Honor Graduate") it took him a full year to
get through a course that should have taken a lot less time.  To be
fair, and set the record fully straight, those who say he never made it
through SF school, are mistaken.  He did make it through SF school --
eventually -- after three tries.  They may be alluding to the allegations
that Idema was to be thrown out of SF School after he had failed 05B
training for the second time and that Idema's father, a man of means,
used congressional influence to bring pressure on the Army to recycle him
for a third try and that he would not have made it through on the third
try without this pressure.  For some, who made it through training
group on their own, without special consideration or preferential
treatment, this might be the same as someone not making it through -- just a
guess on my part.  But, as I noted, Idema did eventually graduate from SF
school and was sent to Fort Devens for his first non-school assignment
in the Army..

He came to Fort Devens around October 1976 and before completing his
tour of enlistment, was reassigned from both A-teams to which he was
sent.  He spent probably no more than 8 or 9 months on the first team
before he was first,  formally punished and then, rehabilitatively
reassigned to another team in a different company (the time includes the time
spent at SCUBA school - sorry, I have not been able to come up with
anyone who can verify anything of note from his time at SCUBA school except
that perhaps he had washed out -- I don't think that is the case, but I
am trying to run that to ground)  He lasted even less time on the
second A-team before he was sent down to the Group Signal Company to perform
duties as a rear base station radio operator while he completed the
remaining portion of his 3-year tour.  He left the service with a bar to
reenlistment as I recall (a mark of a real professional).

Idema did not attend any "Ski School" at Fort Devens, there was no such
thing in the Army.  He certainly did not attend German Mountain School
as he maintains -- I was the individual that had him pulled from the
training mission.  As for his other claims?  Well, you figure out the
accuracy of them.  Just what, pray tell, is a "Master Instructor" or a
"Master Instructor Trainer." (see the extract from your blog below).   I
can't find anyone here in the Pentagon that has a clue on those effusive
titles when it comes to Special Forces.  I am most curious.   So are
the Special Ops guys (you know -- "real operators") in the office down
the hall from mine.

One thing I can't figure out here -- why do you maintain a blog site
with an apparent religious bent and put Idema and Idema's obscenities on
your site, to include the audio track which includes "This is f*******
Jack Idema."  Seems a bit of a contradiction.  Not very religious.

Check your info and your sources there Cao or Lynn or whoever.  Not
everything is what you seem to think it is.  Someone has watched one too

Yes Junior Cape Crusaders the long last truth about our Imprisoned POW Hero Leader Commander Jack Idema has hit the book shelves Licensed to Kill is a daring book on Private Military Contractors and a must read. Of course our favorite chapter was on none other than.....drum roll please...... our imprisoned POW Hero leader "Commander" Jack "Desert Fraud", "Tin Soldier" Idema, a/k/a Mr. Potato Head. LOL!

On top of that and to show you just how much Jack's old publisher appreciated him scamming the "Hunt for Bin Laden" Random House published Licensed to Kill with the truth about hero Jack Idema. But lets not take away from the focus of this book and the real live Green Beret hero and part of the focus of this book. The legendary Billy Waugh. Who Junior Cape Crusaders was also the man who drove the final nail into Jackbo's daydream "Task Farce Sabre 7" ending Jackbo's scam as a super secret covert terrorist hunter killer. Nothing like being done in by not just a real Green Beret but by a legend..... eh Jack? So we now know what Billy Waugh thought of Jack's exploits.

CHAPTER 1

Kill Them All

"I am here for the money." —Afghan Gen. Zia Lodin to the CIA

"The solution is to let them kill each other," the small, energetic senior citizen in the Windbreaker tells me over a fiesta omelet with extra jalapenos at a Florida Waffle House. He points upward. "Send up a satellite and take pictures. Keep the Special Operations teams in the hills, fifty miles out of the towns. Then go in at night and do your work. Kill them. Kill like we did in Germany. Flatten the place. You have to not mind killing innocents. Even the women and children."

These are the words of seventy-five-year-old Billy Waugh, Special Forces legend, seasoned CIA paramilitary, renowned assassin, covert operator, and the world's longest operating "Green Badger"--or CIA contractor. Over breakfast we discuss my most recent trip to Iraq with contractors and the deadly and confused situation there. Billy is giving me his frank opinions on what needs to be done in Iraq to stop the ever-mounting toll of dead Americans. His reference to tactics in Germany and other wars is not based on a book but on events in his lifetime.

The best clue to Billy's age comes from the vast historical and geographical area over which he can roam in the first person. He knows many people and has been to many places--Vietnam, Bosnia, Sudan, Kosovo, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Afghanistan, and dozens of other countries. Just as an employee and contractor for the CIA, Billy has worked and traveled in sixty-four countries since 1989.

Billy exudes obvious pride regarding his work for the Agency and has not only written a book about some of his adventures, called Hunting the Jackal, but also travels around speaking to graduation classes, SF associations, and even football teams. His three-month-old metallic-champagne Lincoln Town Car already has twenty-two thousand miles on it, mostly from driving between Florida and Washington. "I can't fly anymore," he admits. It's not that he is afraid of crashing; he just carries too many weapons. When he gives his motivational speech, he says, "It's all about being shot up and how to keep on going. How to be tough." At his age and with his experiences, Billy Waugh should not be alive. His custom front license plate provides clues. While his rear plate advertises WOUNDED WAR VET, the front plate spells it out in simpler terms: 8 HITS, with an illustration of a Purple Heart medal.

Our waitress at the Waffle House probably assumes this short, compact man with thinning hair and thick glasses is an energetic grandfather. His black Members Only jacket, golf shirt, and nondescript pants wouldn't spark her curiosity, unless she noticed the grinning skull patch on his jacket--a Special Operations Association logo. Billy's culture and style is rooted in the U.S. Special Forces. He wears two large army rings, an SF pendant on a gold chain, and a gold Rolex Daymaster with diamonds around the bezel--not in a decorative fashion, but more like tribal badges common among ex-Special Forces soldiers. Billy Waugh is also a Texan, famously outspoken, and doesn't suffer fools. Despite his age and limping gait--the result of old combat injuries--Billy has the mental and physical vigor of a twenty-one-year-old. He speaks in staccato bursts like machine-gun fire, beginning every conversation with a barrage of questions and finishing up with a few bursts of opinions.

I first met Billy over the phone, and he immediately began interspersing his spiel with questions, like an opening mortar bombardment designed to confuse or narrow in on an opponent. Even in person, Billy likes to sort out the person across the table as friend or foe. If enough names and answers click, he becomes your friend. If not, the conversation comes to an end. His only caveat to the curious is, "I ain't gonna tell you any classified stuff" or make the Agency look bad.

Billy talks about killing like civilians might talk about their golf game. It's what he does, what he did, and what he knows--something the U.S. government trained him and paid him to do for many years. Billy's descriptions of death and killing are not intended to impress but to assure the listener of the difference between good and bad people. Billy must be excused for his blunt talk. He normally seeks out the company of soldiers who understand such things. The Special Operations community lauds him as a living legend, and just the way he refers to himself in the third person, speaking his own name in compressed syllables--"billywaugh"--gives him a ring of uniqueness and celebrity.

In his biography, Hunting the Jackal, Waugh describes himself as someone who simply functions in combat, someone who does not spend too much time worrying, complaining, or examining what he does. Billy has killed countless people, has had people try to kill him, been nearly dead, and has lost many friends. He has worn the smell of death, whether by retrieving maggot-infested booby-trapped bodies of comrades killed in battle, or in the private weight of burying dozens of close friends. Despite this, even at his advanced age, he would gladly go anywhere his country would send him under any conditions to kill or help others to kill America's enemies. But his days of killing and hunting America's enemies are over now. Even in America's new "dead or alive" War on Terror, Billy sees a change in how contractors and paramilitaries are allowed to operate.

Billy tells me how Special Forces tactics have changed since his early career. "Closing in and doing hand-to-hand with the NVA [North Vietnamese Army] was not a very bright tactic, but it was the only tactic we knew during the sixties and early seventies. The new tactic is to use Special Forces accompanied by some of the OGA [other governmental agencies] and not allow our friendlies to close with the enemy. The new tactic is to fight a 'standoff' type of war in most cases. Usually a four to five kilometer standoff is the recommended distance to close with the enemy." Today's CIA and Special Forces method of training proxy armies is designed to create a "hands-off" relationship. He explains that the license to kill once accorded special operations has been finessed or outsourced to avoid direct liability. "We don't pull the trigger but we sure as hell give them a gun, bullets, show them the target, and teach them how to pull that trigger. It didn't use to be that way." Given his long career in covert operations, Billy should know how it "used to be."

From its founding in 1952, the mission of Special Forces was to operate behind enemy lines, train insurgent troops, and act as a force multiplier. They were recruited from the more elite airborne units and were usually aggressive, independent-minded men with high IQs and good moral character--men who would follow orders but could think for themselves under great pressure while working in hostile environments. All the early members of the Special Forces had basic foreign language skills, held at least a sergeant's rank, and were willing to work behind enemy lines in civilian clothes. Due to the Special Forces's covert nature and links to the CIA, most people did not know they existed until the early 1960s, when President Kennedy became a major supporter and expanded their role dramatically in the newly emerging Vietnam conflict, first as advisors and later as ground troops. Their close relationship with the CIA was kept in the background.

The CIA also had their own paramilitary teams, some of them contractors, others seconded from the military. I ask Billy what the difference was.

Billy rubs his thumb and finger together. "Money. The CIA had money, lots of it. We [Special Forces] did the legwork."

The concept of Special Forces was not new, but America was confronting an unfamiliar style of warfare in Southeast Asia--a communist insurgency that did not stand and fight in big battalions, but rather sent agents in plainclothes to recruit, train, and equip insurgents. What the CIA and the Special Forces did in Southeast Asia was modeled on what the OSS (Office of Strategic Services) did in occupied France with the Jedburghs, whose mission was to drop in covert operators to coordinate supply efforts and provide communications and intelligence. The training and operational efforts of Special Forces were greatly expanded from the simple tactics taught by the Jedburghs in World War II.

Billy joined the Special Forces in the mid-1950s and began working occasional covert assignments for the CIA starting in 1961. At the time, Billy didn't really think of himself as a covert operator, though in March of 1965, Waugh was asked to form an "A" team and to set up an operational base from which to run the northeast section of the Binh Dinh Province in South Vietnam. Billy's mission was to recruit and train up an army of mercenaries--a Civilian Irregular Defense Group, or CIDG--to disrupt the NVA's movements within enemy-controlled territory. The CIA's Combined Studies Division would supply the funding, and the Special Forces would do the legwork.

Billy and his team built a rudimentary fort along the An Lao River and an airstrip using the labor of about a hundred mercenaries recruited from the lowlands. Once set up, his team was to coordinate efforts to harass the enemy in a twenty-kilometer circle around their base. The North Vietnamese Army had full knowledge of the base but did not try to overrun it. Unlike the Jedburghs, who would work inside cities or out on farms in occupied France, the Americans were running a covert war from fixed military bases.

On June 18, 1965, Billy, a small team of three SF, and eighty-six South Vietnamese mercenaries left their roughly hewn A-team fort and hiked along a trail that followed the An Lao River on a seventeen-kilometer recce to a small NVA camp. They planned a stealthy brutal attack in darkness to convince the Vietcong that the area was too dangerous for a base camp. Billy and his group had killed over one hundred sixty sleeping soldiers when they heard a bugle sound a call to arms for the approximately four thousand NVA troops who had just landed the day prior.

Nearly all of the Vietnamese mercenaries were gunned down as they fled across a rice paddy. As Billy ran, a bullet shattered his right knee and another destroyed his right foot. A third bullet penetrated Billy's left wrist, knocking his watch off. Waugh lay on the ground, soaked in blood, his leg bones glistening white through his ripped uniform, left for dead. It should have been the end of Billy Waugh. He remembers counting how long the green tracers of bullets glowed as he tried to judge the distance of NVA troops, and smelling and feeling the heat of kerosene from napalm dropped by American reinforcements, until a final bullet clipped him in the head and knocked him out cold.

Thirty-five-year-old Master Sergeant Billy Waugh awoke a few hours later to find himself stripped naked by the enemy. The sun burned down on his exposed body, crusting his blood in sticky patches, as the pain from his wounds exploded in his head. Around him the fighting continued. A helicopter arrived under fire to lift him out, but the soldier who tried to carry Billy in was shot twice through the heart and lungs. Waugh crawled the final few feet and was helped onto the helo. As Billy lay there on the floor of the slick, he looked up in time to see a bullet hit the helicopter gunner's arm, almost severing it. Billy made it to a hospital in a heap of the dead. When the battle stopped raging, the enemy had lost six hundred men, and out of Billy's eighty-six mercenaries, only fifteen had escaped. One American from the A-team had been killed, and three, including Billy, had made it out alive.

For the next few months, Waugh lived in a hazy painkiller-numbed world. It would take over a year for his wounds to begin to heal. At the other end of this dark tunnel, he realized his ultimate calling: Waugh wanted to get back into not just what he calls the "vanilla" SF, but the "blackside" SF who worked directly with the CIA. He had already died once and so had no fear of death. His injuries meant he might never again function in normal special operations, but Billy wasn't about to let injury end his lifelong dream of being a soldier. Most soldiers would accept that they had used up their luck, but Billy wanted back in, demonstrating a tenacious pit-bull approach that would be the hallmark of his combat career and scare off others whenever Billy asked for volunteers on missions. It is no surprise that in the future, Billy would take great pride in working alone.

Despite being barely able to walk, he talked his way into being assigned to a CIA-funded group called Military Assistance Command Vietnam-Special Observation Group (MACV-SOG), and by doing so took the journey from the overt "white" side of military operations to the "black" side of warfare--deniable TOP SECRET-level covert and clandestine operations that were never intended to be revealed to the American public. His knowledge of Special Forces and his eagerness to go into combat got him accepted with friends who put him up in an aircraft to do forward air controlling, observation, and rescue. When the pus stopped oozing out of his legs and they began to mend, he started working on the ground.

The MACV-SOG was created in 1964 as a clandestine, unconventional warfare joint-operations group working in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Although essentially a military project, the joint military and intelligence program reunited two halves of what used to be combined under the World War II-era OSS. The MACV-SOG combined CIA, Special Forces, mercenaries, counterinsurgents, independent contractors, and private front and legitimate corporations in the war against the North Vietnamese. The joint operations made use of both CIA officers and active military that both funded and directed the actions of hired indigenous paramilitaries. The use of mercenaries provided an element of deniability not allowed uniformed U.S. troops, particularly in countries not considered part of the hostilities, like Cambodia and Laos.

Now this is a Green Beret and one who is not running around the world looking for fame! This is the true mark of an American Patriot. Jackbo could only have wet dreams of walking in this man's shoes!

Robert Young Pelton’s Latest Book to be Released September 2006

Overview

As the book opens the author introduces reclusive billionaire Erik Prince, the CEO of Blackwater, one of the world’s foremost security contractor firms, and learns that Prince is on the verge of bringing to market a fully equipped aircraft-and-artillery-supported private army. It is Erik’s first public interview ever and sets the tone for this seminal work on an emerging industry.

From there the narrative shifts to Baghdad, currently the world’s most high-risk security posting. In what resembles a scene out of “Mad Max,” Pelton goes inside again, giving us the first look at what it’s like to live and work with Blackwater’s private army. Featured here are the tattooed, Kevlar-vested, gun-toting men who cruise up and down the infamous “Route Irish” – the 4 mile crater-pocked stretch of highway that, at the time of the author’s arrival, had recently seen 16 attacks a day. No tailgating tolerated by these elite soldiers-turned-bodyguards. Close approaching traffic that doesn’t heed warnings receives an immediate spray of gunfire. Welcome to the insane world of the private military contractor.

Next we meet 74 year old Billy Waugh, a Special Forces warrior turned covert contract operator. Billy’s recitation of his adventures takes us back to the origins of the “contractor” role, particularly as it was conceived by the CIA. From there, the book moves to Dallas, Texas to let the reader eavesdrop on a gathering of private security contractors and mercenaries looking to scope out the latest security technology and get leads on jobs. In a candid, impromptu "merc" roundtable, the author elicits comments regarding the reality of the guns-for-hire life. For some it’s about the rush, for others it’s about the money, for still others patriotism is a factor. For many it’s all three. What’s indisputable is that there’s no civilian job out there that can match the bucks ( $150,000+ a year ) one can earn by strapping on a Kevlar vest and a gun and accepting an assignment to the world’s war zones.

The next two chapters graphically show the real risks contractors must overcome to collect that high pay. For the first time the author details the inside story of the well known but little investigated events leading up to the killing of Blackwater contractors in Fallujah. Still vivid in the memories of many are the images of the bodies of four men being dragged through the streets and suspended from a Fallujah bridge. The worldwide news coverage triggered global shock and litigation by family members who felt Blackwater didn’t do enough to protect its employees. For the first time the world asked "Who are these guys". Licensed to Kill provides answers.

In another coup, Pelton takes readers inside the Alamo-like contractor/insurgent standoffs in Najaf and Al Kut. Here we learn just how exposed-to-danger and alone a private military contractor can be when thrust into combat. It’s a role contractors are not supposed to find themselves in, but often seek out. Featured in this chapter are the operational philosophies and real-world dilemmas of the American contractor firm Triple Canopy and UK firms Control Risks Group and HART.

In Chapter 7 the author gains exclusive access to the secretive contractor training process. First stop is Triple Canopy’s training center in Arkansas, a bizarre and moribund dog-racing track that doubles as a site for honing anti-terrorist driving skills. While greyhounds chase pink rabbits and patrons drink cheap beer, aspiring contractors swerve rented Suburbans at high speeds around rows of orange cones, simulating a convoy coming under attack. At a nearby and closed-to-the-public shooting range that is even more dilapidated, trainees polish their client protection skills with live-fire scenarios using M-4 assault rifles and Glock pistols.

In between classes and late at night, potential security contractors pour out to Pelton their fears and dreams, permitting the reader to glimpse the inner lives of these normally tight-lipped men. We learn that there’s often a dark reality behind the patriotism and bluster: financial desperation.

Next, Pelton accepts an invitation to teach a course at Blackwater’s training site in North Carolina, which he dubs “the kingdom of bang.” On most of the facility’s 6000 acres, the din of heavy gunfire and explosions can regularly be heard as hundreds of soldiers, cops and covert units train. Here, the author and other expert instructors put representatives from Homeland Security, Army Special Operations, the intelligence services and law enforcement through a “Mirror Image Course” meant to get them to think and act like terrorists. Among the skills taught: how to better understand the mind of assassins, how to “take out” a target, and even how to deliver a truck bomb as part of a suicide attack.

The next chapter presents this new Ronin class in its element. Pelton take us inside Baghdad’s “Green Zone” to the Blackwater team house where he lives, works and drinks with men who work one of the world’s toughest security details. On a daily basis, men with nicknames like “Baz”, “Grizz”,, “Miyagi”, “Cougar”, and “Shrek” lock and load to protect a convoy making the deadly airport run. The author actually makes us part of the convoy, introducing us to contractors who within months will end up as casualties. We glimpse many of the contractors’ little known tools, such as the “hate truck” a security convoy’s heavy armed cavalry, meant to stay and fight while the rest of the convoy gets off the “X”. It’s a rolling vehicle of violence pack with weapons and home-made armor, and complete with AC-DC heavy-metal music pumping from the radio and a grinning skull mounted on the dash.

The latter part of the book reveals some of the most disturbing permutations at the edges of the security contractor/merc world. We meet “Jack” Idema, a man who put the “con” in contractor. Featured here is the never before told story of Idema’s over-the-top Afghanistan exploits, which include illegally rounding up and imprisoning citizens he deemed suspected terrorists.

Well Junior Cape Crusaders, it's been very quiet out there in Jackbo land. Of course we laugh at all of the accusations made by Lynnbo in defense of her honey Jackbo. Talk about Groundhog day! But you have to remember a very important point here. Jackbo can't prove anything he makes claim to, even with his phony document maker, but we can prove in a court of law that Jackbo was never a Official Advisor to the Northern Front. That Jackbo defrauded and used the American and Afghan Governments for his own personal gain. That Jackbo was nothing more than a glory seeking bounty hunter making one way phone calls and using others in an attempt to propel his fame.

That his lawyer John Tiffany Edwards is violating his ethics by crossing the line as an advocate for his client to someone who now has a personal and financial gain to propel the distortions. FBI paid off Judges? LOL We would just love to see you prove that one Tiffany! How about the FBI witnessing Jackbo's beating? LOL....

Then there is Lynnbo Thomas who continually distorts the record and just re-cycles garbage while using the same press she decries about for Jackbo's sake, against others. Ole Lynnbo here seems to just love to make accusations. Remember Eddy Reames the dead guy she accused of being web-blogger SoJ of Flogging The Simian? Her proof? Her razor sharp mind and the Internet! What Jackbo? Could not come up with one of your phony documents? Then to top that, Lynnbo and her whack job clan harassed Reames Mother to boot. Lynnbo's latest attack on Artis, Cafasso, Morris and everyone else comes from a source that Lynnbo once blogged about being a fraud.

"Curiously, Christine Dolan started up another organization in order to continue defrauding people out of their money, called The International Humanitarian Campaign Against the Exploitation of Children. Dolan’s group claims connection with Knightsbridge."

Now let us tell you where this came from. This comes from the the famed Vatican Bank lawsuit of Phillip J. Kronzer. Kronzer is also suing Christine Dolan a supposed advocate against Illegal Human Trafficking, at least on paper. Dolan like Jackbo loves to make some very exaggerated claims about herself and when you do your diligence you find a totally different story. You see Junior Cape Crusaders, Dolan who has a very well known drinking problem and in some cases has been spotted smashed in public at even at her own functions, contracted to Kronzer to write a report on Pedophile Catholic Priests and what Kronzer claims as the "Medjugorje cult" to get back at his estranged ex-wife who was a Medjugorje follower and as it's reported to us, has a perpetual restraining order against him. Of course Dolan could never verify the Medjugorje cult stuff which is actually a control fight between the Serb and Croatian mobs. Medjugorje as a parcel of land is a cash cow, once run by the Serbs but now by the Croatian's who are ringing those cash registers.

But Dolan took some $300,000 from Kronzer and wrote a report ( or as it was told yesterday to us much of it was a'copy and paste" report titled, "In the Name of God", while also using Kronzer's money to live a very, very extravagant life style, which included a plush home in a very exclusive section of Virginia she claimed she needed for security. Threw and attaneded lavish parties, bought designer clothing and even had very nice Med-Cruise in search of a mysterious island monastery where Kronzer claimed was nothing more than a haven for child abuse. This claim was proven very wrong by Dolan. But Dolan had a wonderful time in search of the island. Can't imagine how much that cost Kronzer? Hey Phil! Got a few grand left we need a Med-Cruise vacation? Besides we know where there are better tax-havens....

So when Kronzer challenged Dolan on her expenses and asked for an accounting, which he had every right to no matter how stupid or unfounded his religious claims were, Dolan refused. Wonder why? But Junior Cape Crusaders as reported to us, this exchange lead into a Dolan e-mail attack against Kronzer and Kronzer fired back. This ended with Kronzer suing Dolan in California using Knightbridge as a vehicle to file his action in the California Courts, thought there was never ever a real relationship between Dolan and Knightsbridge. As it was reported to us, this got even worse when Dolan named in a few other actions bartered her way out by forking over information on Kronzer.

While all of this was going on Artis got falsely called a Pedophile by the Kronzer and Jackbo zombies. It did not stop there either. Artis was called a phony Knight. That Artis trafficked in humans and stole humanitarian aid. That all his medals are frauds....

Artis has the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) and the Purple Heart.... What medals do you have Jackbo? Oh yeah the one that has your old prison number on it! So who is the Kronzer source making claim against Knightbridge and Ed Artis for being a phony Knight, a pedophile, someone who stole humanitarian aid and so forth and so on? It came from none other than.... drum roll, please! Our Imprisoned POW Hero leader Commander Jackbo Idema himself ( got to love how all of this comes full circle, don't ya?)! While Jackbo has a interesting relationship with the Kronzer and crew. Must be certain oil and uranium producing African country... eh...Cabinda ring a bell? One of the African Countries that also had ties to Iran. Oh yeah and a certain ...eh.. tax haven....? Wonder now how all of this fits with the Cabinda separatist signing a peace accord with the Angolan Government? Bet the FBI and IRS would love to know?

So Kronzer at first got a default judgement against Dolan, but like Jackbo never acted upon the default and so Dolan filed a quash due to jurisdiction in the California Courts. Many claims and counter claims have been charged but none of them have ever proven by either side. Again just like Jackbo's lawsuits. And when you can't get by with making phony shell companies and tax havens, try making phony documents to support your claims. If that fails then try accusations. If that fails threats are in order. you gotta love Jackbo, he does it with style.

This Junior Cape Crusaders are some of the sources and facts Lynnbo Thomas uses to make her claims and accusations, now by mis-using her Internet radio show, WAR (Whacked, Arrogant, Ridiculous). But what the hell, when you sleep with Jackbo you spawn the devil's son. Death threats and all... The fact is that Jackbo knows all of this but all he is out to do is cause as much damage as he can. Both Jackbo and Lynnbo just want to keep everyones name up in the Internet lights.

No matter what is said on either side of the Jackbo issue. It has to be remembered, "do not create your limitations by taking the opinions of others and allowing those opinions to become yours without a common frame of reference or basis in fact". Especially with Jackbo and his phony document making machine and who is a master at distorting facts. And we mean the real facts, the ones that can be proven in a court of law and the facts in the Jackbo Idema case weight heavily against Jackbo.

And if there is anything else I can do to make sure you serve out your prison term I will. We both come from the same cut Jack, except what I was doing was not for fame and glory unlike you.

As far as I am concerned you need an extension ladder to crawl out of the gutter. I know for a fact you are as about as phoney as they come. You see Jack I have perosnal letters from the so-called Generals you worked with basically saying you were full of it and were never an advisor to the Northern Front. The evidence against you is just overwhelming. Please send a Carabolla TV crew to me so I can have all of this documented. Talk about Edward Carabolla and Ted Kavanagh... You just love to use people Jack especially those in there 70's and 80's. Just like you used Robin Moore. How do you sleep nights?

This is also the reason why you can't prove anything in Court because if you could you would not be where you are right now. And you would have had standing in the Fox News Lawsuit. Got to love Wildman Jackbo and his ~~live~~ ....taped... .Rogue Radio Live ! Nice try to blow off a taped show as LIVE! Having some fun there blasted in prison eh Jackbo? Enjoy its going to be a long and DRY summer....You know Junior Cape Crusaders we can remember back when Jackbo was interviewed for Sam Kiley's TV show, Jackbo was again blasted. At the end of the segment, Jackbo grabs Kiley and slobbers on him before Kiley can get away. Teaching him to be an Afghan says drunk & desperate Jackbo. Right, Jack. Uh huh.

Well, with the debut of Jackbo's Podcast aka Rogue Radio, what the listening audience (if there is one) wants to know is this: Which will run out first: Jackbo's prison term, or his liver?

"Isssh Chaaaack!" he begins, explaining that he's been drinking Finlandia for 4 1/2, maybe 5 hours. Yes sirreee! If your idea of fun is being slobbered on by a belligerent drunk who says things like, "That's the fucking point, folks! Don't you understand?" then Jackbo's Rogue Radio is for you!

A favorite line: "Send me a fucking paycheck, I'll kill every son-of-a-bitch who even looks like you cross-eyed." He complains that a friend reprogrammed his satellite TV equipment and he lost his favorite porn channel, Spice Platinum. The best part is when he talks about how he secured his supply of booze, all the strings he had to pull, what extreme measures were gone to on his behalf. All so that Jackbo could be drunk Live on the Internet Airwaves! (After all, getting absolutely blasted is an important precursor to getting on TV or radio.)

Jackbo, we were sort of hoping you'd get onto the subject of that rabbity guy Jon Levy in Hilton Head. What did he promise you, Jackbo? More booze? Hookers? Your porn channel back? A cruise to equatorial regions? Or just a Get Out of Jail Free card?

A little bit of a political sermon does make it through Jackbo's alcoholic haze, though not much: Love how he pontificates about how the war in Iraq should have been run but is drunk enough to have a hard time remembering the name of the capitol city. (Baghdad, Jackbo.

Well guys, the day for launch was here. And we just about crashed the server we were on from the traffic. We had callers ringing the phones off the hook…and most importantly, we discovered that our launch surpassed all expectations. We now need to regroup, and Kender needs to work on the new server so we can handle the traffic. And we need a lot of prayers.

Even Jack was on the air this morning, so everything went splendidly.

I didn’t manage to air my great interview with Amy and Johnny Proctor, so that’s something that will probably air after we re-launch with a big fat server to handle the bandwidth. I’ll be throwing the interviews with Amy and Johnny over to Amy, and will probably put them up over here also, while we’re waiting for the re-launching of WAR.

But I did interview Vince Micco live, which was exciting. God bless him in his race for Congress, and God bless him and his wonderful family. You can see more about Vince who’s running in the 9th Congressional District in New Jersey and his Website here."
