i'm wondering how you got so caught up in the Idema story. It is quite an interesting one.
For my purposes he makes a nice bookend to John Walker Lindh, another unhappy person
drawn to Afghanistan.

Grandiosity, a pattern of lying, violence and criminality. That sounds like anti-socialpersonality
disorder. Psychopath, in the old language. The army is supposed to check for that sort of thing,
and so is the criminal justice system. Have you seen any reports along those lines?
I suspect Jack is not quite right in the head.
